Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur Arrival
Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 - Kuala Lumpur
Enjoy a half-day Kuala Lumpur city tour. Despite the skyline of a modern metropolis, Kuala Lumpur has always been charming and full of characters. On this tour, see the contrast between the Indo-Moorish architecture and the ultra modern edifices. Photo stop at the Royal Palace. Visit the National Museum, journey through the beautiful Lake Gardens and pause for a moment at the National Monument. Drive past the elegant Jamek Mosque, the bustling Chinatown and the Independence Square. Photo stop at the Petronas Twin-Towers - the symbol of modern Malaysia and the tallest twin-tower in the world! Final stop is to witness pewter craftsmanship at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure!

Day 3 - Kuala Lumpur – Malacca – Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxing, scenic 2-hour drive south of Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, the oldest trading port in Malaysia which has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule. Visit Stadhuys – the Dutch Square and from there take a walk up St. Paul's Hill for a panoramic view of the Malacca Straits and the old town of Bandar Hilir. At the top are the famous Portuguese Fort de Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul's Church, lined by 17th Century Dutch tombstones. Stop for a typical 'Nonya' lunch before taking a stroll through the Antiques Row at Jonker Street. The visit to Malacca is completed with a stop at Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese Temple in Malaysia. After sightseeing, return to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4 - Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy the day exploring Kuala Lumpur at your leisure. Optional tours are available.

Day 5 - Kuala Lumpur – Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 6 - Kota Kinabalu - Sepilok
Today, we will visit the world’s largest Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Witness the feeding of Orang Utans and learn how they are trained to survive in the wild. The Sanctuary was started in 1964 for the rehabilitation of orphaned Orangutans and many have since been returned to the forest.

Day 7 - Sepilok – Turtle Island
Pick up at Sepilok Nature Resort and transfer to jetty for boat ride to Selingan Turtle Islands Park. The journey to the Island will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. On arrival, register at the Turtle Island Parks headquarters and check into the chalet. After lunch at the cafeteria, enjoy some free time at your leisure e.g. swimming or snorkelling. After dinner, the rangers will call to observe turtles laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to the Hatchery and if there are any young turtle hatchlings, you will have an opportunity to observe the release of the turtles to the sea.

Day 8 - Turtle Island – Sandakan - Kinabatangan
After breakfast, depart the island for Sandakan and transfer to the jetty . Take an hour boat cruise up the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will enjoy lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. When arriving at Sukau, check in at the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of Kinabatangan. Return lodge for dinner.

Day 9 - Kinabatangan
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a river trip to the Ox-Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then some free time. After lunch, in the late afternoon enjoy a river cruise to search for more wildlife!

Day 10 - Kinabatangan – Sandakan – Danum Valley
After breakfast, take a river cruise down by boat to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings with this approximate 2.5 hours journey. Upon arrival at the jetty, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay. After lunch, overland transfer to Lahad Datu . Upon arrival at Lahad Datu depart for a 3-hour journey to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge in the heart of Danum Valley Conservation Area. Along the way, wildlife may be spotted. Lunch will be arranged at the lodge. Trek in the oldest remaining rainforest in the world and experience an exciting suspension walkway. After dinner, if weather permits, take a night drive in search of even more wildlife!

Day 11 - Danum Valley
After breakfast, proceed on a nature walk through undisturbed riverine and lowland dipterocarp forests. There are good chances to photograph wildlife in this pristine jungle vegetation and for unlimited bird watching of the rainforest species. After lunch hike to look for orangutans, birds and other wildlife along nature trails. After dinner enjoy a slide presentation on wildlife, ecology and activities in the Danum Valley Conservation Area.

Day 12 - Danum Valley – Kota Kinabalu
Enjoy a short morning walk for bird watching before breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy a brief visit to the waterfalls and pools, and then hike upstream and along the canopy walkway. After lunch proceed to the Lahad Datu Airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. Arrive at Kota Kinabalu and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 13 - Kota Kinabalu - Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Kuala Lumpur where you can catch your onward flight!
